The Episcopal Community
of Óscar Romero
the neighborhood ministry of the Allston Abbey

Our Neighborhood Ministry is called the Episcopal Community of Oscar Romero, and is one of the ministries of The Allston Abbey.

This effort is led by the Rev. Ema Rosero-Nordalm, deacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. As The Abbey’s Shared Purpose Statement says, we hope to “open our doors as often as possible to as many people as possible in as many ways as possible. We will gather for prayer and worship regularly.” The Oscar Romero Community will also create and adapt our ministry and programs through a process of deep listening, presence and dedicated accompaniment. We start from a place of radical hospitality, welcoming all our neighbors and offering a place of belonging and connecting, and providing a space of solace and strength.

For now we are continuing to get to know our neighbors. Would you like to meet with us? You can reach out to the Rev. Ema Rosero-Nordalm at erosero@bu.edu, or the Rev. Emily J. Garcia at mtremilygarcia@gmail.com. You can also sign up for our monthly email below.

Or, you can stop by one of our gatherings or services, all of which are on the Abbey's Events page.
You can find out when our next service is at the Abbey's Events page. To stay in the loop, sign up for our monthly email!
