Use our space!

Hospitality and welcome are key values at the Allston Abbey as we seek to birth a vibrant place where all can experience a true sense of belonging, a constant invitation to share, to be listened to, and to start new friendships. We welcome inquiries for paid use of our Sanctuary, which is a flexible and beautiful space best suited for community meetings, dance workshops, and acoustic musical offerings.

DETAILS

About the Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a historic building from 1910 and features one of the largest collections of stained-glass windows from the esteemed Charles J. Connick Studio. Renovated from 2021-2024, the Sanctuary is an open space of approximately 2400 sq. ft.

Capacity and Amenities

The Sanctuary easily fits up to 100 guests. We have stackable chairs and plastic folding tables that can seat up to 70 people in various configurations. We have a PA system with a 10-channel digital mixer and 3 wireless microphones. We also have a projector and large screen. As you plan your event, keep in mind that we currently only have one accessible restroom and no water fountain.

Fees

We typically charge $95/hr for one-time use of the Sanctuary, $50 for the space and $45 to pay an Event Sexton, whose role is to open and close the building, set up and re-set the space, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the Building User is adhering to our Building Use Policies as agreed.

ABOUT US

The Allston Abbey is a collaborative mission for learning, worship, and ministry sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. We are located on the campus of the former St. Luke's and St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. We envision a fresh, collaborative model of church where different ministries work together to embody the Good News of Jesus through authentic and mutual relationships with all of our neighbors.
